The vibrant and welcoming school community of Madison Central Montessori is seeking an inspired and dedicated leader to serve as Head of School to begin July 1, 2009. Also seeking experienced Primary Guide. For over 35 years, Madison Central Montessori School has warmly welcomed children from the greater Madison area which is home to the state capitol, the University of Wisconsin and is consistently ranked as a top community in which to live, work, play and raise a family. There are lakes every way you turn, beautifully changing seasons and a bright and energetic population. Our non-profit school serves 135 students aged 2 1/2 to 14 in six classrooms (3 Children's House, 1 Lower Elementary, 1 Upper Elementary, and 1 Adolescent) guided by our committed, long term, AMI trained staff. Consideration is currently being given to adding a toddler program and a strategic plan is in place to support the school's continued growth. The ideal HOS candidate will have significant Montessori experience, familiarity/ease with fiscal management, strong interpersonal skills, excellent management skills, effective problem solving abilities, and a commitment to the highest ideals and principles of Montessori education.
