Hampton Roads International Montessori School (HRIMS) is accepting applications for AMI trained toddler, primary and elementary teachers for the 2011-2012 school year. HRIMS will also consider sponsorship for training for the right candidates.

Position(s) Available: Primary Lead Teacher and Lower Elementary Teacher
Qualifications: AMS certified
Brief Description of School and Community: We are actively looking for a certified toddler, primary or Lower El teacher for our dynamic and authentic Montessori program. Because we are committed to providing the best education and life experiences possible for our professional and working community of families, we are a year round and extended Montessori day program. We offer parent information and support groups and family cultural activities. We offer a Dual Language/Spanish and English program. Music, Art and Sciences are fully developed within the classroom.

Our first campus is beautiful urban campus and we are looking to open 2nd campus in a heavily forested area in the near suburbs of Richmond. Both programs are relatively small with around 70 students max for either campus. Ten month contracts or twelve month contracts are available.

Mountain Laurel Montessori Farm School seeks a farm caretaker and administrative assistant for adolescent program (grades 7-9). Individual or couple will live at the Farm School and help care for the farm and school in return for room and board. This person, or couple, will receive a salary to serve as administrative assistant and do some work with the students. Preferred candidates have AMI certification, have attended the NAMTA adolescent orientation, appreciate young adolescents, and have experience with sustainable farming.
