Executive Director
The Montessori School of Franklin seeks an Executive Director to start in July of 2008. This is a new position for MSF: our first-rate staff currently includes an educational director, an administrator, teachers and assistant teachers. The board is now seeking a leader who has a deep interest in Montessori education, a demonstrated ability in management of staff and day-to-day operations, and the vision, skills and energy to execute strategic plans for program, facilities, funding, and community. Major upcoming work includes the expansion of our primary and elementary programs, the development of a scholarship program, the purchase and renovation of a building, and the expansion of our capital campaign.
Qualifications: Extensive knowledge of and experience with Montessori education; a vision and passion for developing an excellent authentic Montessori school; demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans; significant experience with administrative and programmatic responsibilities (including some or all of the following: admissions, marketing, facilities, finance, curriculum development and faculty management); a strong understanding of and ability to play a leadership role in fundraising, both within the school and in the broader community; familiarity with non-profit boards; and a university degree.
