Windmill Montessori School was established in 1941 and currently has an enrollment of about 125 children from 2.5-14 years. In a warm and supportive atmosphere, this well-established Montessori school's philosophy is to facilitate and support a family oriented Montessori environment that nurtures our students emotionally and academically with a sense of purpose and civility. Windmill has children of diverse multi-ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds. Our Middle School is in its eighteenth year. Windmill has a large playground with some recreational climbing equipment. With buses and subways nearby, the school is well located and just 40 minutes away from Manhattan, with all its wonderful cultural experiences. Windmill is near the ocean and the New York Aquarium.
