This is a unique opportunity to teach using the world renowned Montessori method in a dynamic, diverse urban public school setting, with per pupil expenditures of $20,637 per student. Elementary 1 teacher candidates must have Montessori certification or be willing to commit to training for two summers (four weeks each) beginning the summer of 2008 and engage in additional course work throughout the following school year to complete requirements for Montessori certification. Previous Montessori experience preferred. Mass. certification/licensure or eligibility required. The Montessori Assistant must have an Associates degree, or 48 college credits or otherwise meet NCLB highly qualified status. Candidates must have previous Montessori experience or commit to a 5 day training during the summer of 2008 and engage in professional development throughout the following school year.
