Looking for certified Montessori preschool teacher to teach an established class from August 11, 2008 – May 29, 2009. Spanish speaker is preferred but not necessary.
Salary (9 months) starts at $31,000 depending on experience.
The FMS has been providing quality Montessori education in Fairbanks since 1966. We have 4 classrooms of 20 children, a fantastic team of 16 teachers and assistants, a multi-purpose room / gym, and a brand-new outdoor playground. We are a non-profit, parent run organization with a great track record of parental involvement.
Fairbanks has around 83,000 people. In addition to many outdoor activities (x-country skiing, dog mushing, fishing, hiking, boating, wildlife and aurora viewing, etc.), Fairbanks is home to several performing arts associations, pro, semi-pro and collegiate sports teams, the main campus of the University of Alaska. It is also host to several unique events such as the North American International Sled Dog Championships, the Festival of Native Arts, and the World Eskimo Olympics.
