The NAMTA membership year is September 1-August 31!
NAMTA's purpose is to maintain Montessori traditions, and at the same time, to be on the cutting edge of innovative education. Accordingly, we provide the medium for study, interpretation, and improvement of Montessori education.
Because all Montessori schools are operated independently of one another, tuitions vary widely. According to a 2009-10 NAMTA survey of North American Montessori schools, tuitions range from a low of under $999 per year to a high of over $14,000 per year. Median annual tuition by age level was as follows:
Infant/toddler up to 6 hrs/Wk: $3,003
Infant/toddler up to 7-15 hrs/Wk: $5,400
Infant/toddler up to 16-29 hrs/Wk: $6,750
Infant/toddler up to >29 hrs/Wk: $9302
Ages 3-6, 3-hour day: $4,920
Ages 3-6, 4-hour day: $5,845
Ages 3-6, 6-hour day: $7,317
Ages 6-9: $8,550
Ages 9-12: $8,714
Ages 12-15 and 15-18: 10,671
Also keep in mind that there are many Montessori programs in public schools, which charge no tuition at all to students within their district.
